Thank you for finding me a suitable position in the Daejeon area! I love my teaching job because, through your 'footwork' , you gave me the opportunity to see a variety of teaching options in South Korea. I appreciate the communication, consistency and following up on my search for teaching jobs. I was not only able to find the job that is a good 'fit' for me, but, the immediate availability was a pleasant surprise because of your research on English teaching jobs in different areas.
Thank you for getting back to me promptly with e-mail communications and checking up for any questions/ concerns I had before coming to Korea. The transition from my hometown in the U.S. ; my flight to Korea and the transport to my new 'home' in Daejeon went very smoothly.
I appreciate especially the time taken during your interview process to find out what my 'needs' and desires for the type of teaching position I wanted and adjusting the search accordingly. I am very satisfied with O.K. recruiting and would recommend this recruiting company to anyone searching for a TEFL teaching position!

I used OK recruiting to help find me a job in Korea. They were excellent. My recruiters name was Bonnie. She helped me get all my documents in order and set up phone calls with foreign teachers at schools in Korea. She always responded right away to my e-mails and went out of her way to make sure I was all settled in when I got here. OK recruiting set me up with a cab ride from the airport and made sure that someone would be waiting at my destination when I arrived. I couldn't think of an easier and more efficient recruiting company than OK and I couldn't imagine having a better recruiter than Bonnie!

When I first began searching for recruiters for my trip to Korea I didn't know where to start. After submitting myself to many agencies, Jay called me one night and discussed different positions, and ways of acquiring all the different paperwork I needed. Jay is very nice, easy to talk and persistant but not overbearing. Whenever I had a question, he would e-mail me an answer within 5-15 minutes!...Amazing. Also, if I asked Jay to call me, he would call quickly ready to answer any questions or concerns I had. During my job search with Jay, he offered me close to 6 positions which were consistent with what I was looking for in a job; IE, location, level of school (elem, middle, or high school), start date and pay. Although I turned down several positions, I did not feel pressured by Jay to accept a position that made me uncomfortable. Some recruiters add pressure which is not good; especially since the trip to Korea is a huge deal in itself!! I really enjoyed Jay's help and would refer him to anyone who wanted to teach in South Korea.
Thanks Jay...Good Job!

Jay,
Sorry for the late response. I have been very busy with teaching and exploring Korea. So far things have been going very well. My experiences here in Korea have exceeded my expectations by far. My apartment is new and clean and as promised. The neighborhood I work in is new and pretty. After a month, I have settled in and feel at home. I really enjoy working at Avalon - everyone there is friendly. I'm happy to have found a reputable school to work for. I appreciate your help finding this job. Thanks Jay.
Sincerely,
Hal

I worked with several recruiters, both in Korea and North America, during my search for a position in Korea. The results were mixed and the level of service I received, even within the same company, was quite inconsistent. From the very beginning, Jay Lee at OK was very thorough and worked with a professionalism such as I would encounter in a business relationship at home. For example, while other recruiters would primarily contact me via e-mail, Jay would often take the time to call me, always mindful of the time difference. Jay was my sole contact at OK Recruiting, while other companies would suddenly hand me off to a completely different agent without any prior notice, sometimes calling me after midnight.
Having been in Korea for a little over a month now, I have had the chance to speak with many other teachers about their recruitment experiences, and I can honestly say mine seems to have been the smoothest. Jay kept constant contact with me throughout the visa application process and provided me with all the details concerning my departure from home and arrival in Korea. My flight was prearranged and paid for, as were overnight accommodations and the bus ticket for my trip south to Daegu. Everything I was told in our calls and e-mails came through as promised.
Some of the stories I have heard make me feel really fortunate I found OK Recruiting. Many teachers were required to find their own way from Seoul to Daegu, and a few are even waiting to be reimbursed. Admittedly, different schools' protocol on matters like this vary, but it seems to me a good recruiter would find a way to arrange these simple conveniences, regardless. Jay has followed up with me several times since I began my job and I am confident he would do everything possible to help me with something should I ask, even a month removed from completing his required duties as they concern me.
Cheers,
Scott Feldstein
